Well i guess you know Gabi that I say the Bucovina is where I was reborn. I have been to every corner of Romania with the exception of the Danube delta and since I discovered the Bucovina in 1993 have been there every year but one. Wonderful people, wonderful landscapes, wonderful food. We do our best to replicate these and other Bucovinian recipes here in the UK but often we cannot match the fresh fruit and vegetables grown in the Romanian countryside and have nothing to match fragi collected on the mountain!
I am happy you like it here. It is a small heaven.
What a delicious spread!! Happy anniversary!
My grandmother grew up in Bucovina. I’m excited to try these recipes! I’ve only ever made sarmale (which I adore).
