Simmered chicken liver served with vegetable pilaf

My boy loves pilaf and chicken liver. I try not to fry it so I use a simple recipe: simmered. With your favorite condiments, it tastes amazing.

Ingredients:

  • Chicken liver 300g
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Bay leaf

Directions:

Put the chicken liver into boiling water. Boil for 15-20 minutes on low heat and then add pepper and bay leaf.  You add salt at the end.

Cook covered. Chicken livers are cooked when a knife or fork enters without difficulty.

Serve it with vegetable pilaf. It also goes great with mashed potatoes, pasta or vegetables.

Enjoy!

  1. Well, this is something I will never try. I am not an offal eater, and the last time I had chicken liver I was a guest in a household…16 years ago.
