I love soup. Clear or thick, vegetable or with meat, hot or cold, sweet or sour, soup could be one of the best dish at the table. We serve the soup after appetizers. I made a list with my favorite soups.
- Lobster bisque – Bisque is a French soup very smooth, creamy and highly seasoned, classically based on a strained broth of crustaceans.

- Pumpkin soup with turmeric – One of the best fall soups in the world you really have to try.

- Sweet hot and spicy soup – You can make a great sweet soup with sweet potato. Add chili and you have a treat.

- Cold cream red lentils soup with turmeric – Go with a cold refreshing soup in the summer.

- Broccoli and cheese soup – If you don’t like eating broccoli, this soup will change your mind.

What is your soup top? Can’t wait for your list. Enjoy!

Personally I love pumpkin/squash soup. I like adding cumin to mine too for a tag one type vibe. Really intrigued by the French seafood soup though

Thank you
The pictures are beautiful! & I will have to try some of your soups! They look delish
Thank you
Two of my favourites are mentioned in the comments: tomato and red pepper (I like to add cinnamon) and Indian dal. On the other hand I often make soup with leftovers, anything – both cooked and raw – and it’s not difficult to make those delicious. Lobster bisque is indeed delicious but I’d rather eat the lobster 😜
Lobster bisque is made with what is left after you eat the lobster. I don’t use the lobster meat for the bisque.
All of these look SOOO yummy. While I adore lobster bisque, I’m also a big fan of its partner the Shrimp Bisque. You should try it out if you haven’t already! I want to try your cold cream red lentils soup with turmeric 🙂
Shrimp Bisque sounds great. I will put it on my list.
I love soup anytime, too. Cheese and broccoli, yum! I have a favorite taco soup I make. It has butternut squash added to it for a delightful flavor. Beautiful photos.
Yummy!
This is a great list! I have to admit that I haven’t heard of some of these soups but they sound like healthy alternatives to try out 🙂 ~J~
Thank you. Some of them are my recipes. Feel free to try them.
Soup is my speciality – it’s one of the few dishes I can make without a recipe. A go-to at our house is vegetarian split pea soup. These are good options though!
Thank you
Hot & sour soups are my faves!
Fantastic photos!

Yes, they do look delicious.
My husband would like soup every day. In fact, in his country in Europe he ate soup almost every day. I should really make more soup.
In Romania we eat soup every day.
Hi cookingwithoutlimits. My first love was a Romanian. I loved his mother’s ciorba! I even learned how to make a couple of her recipes.
Ciorba is great
Brb – i need to go get something to eat as soon as possible 😍
OMG! I can’t even contain myself with these dishes! So amazing! 🙂

Minestrone & pea soup are on the top of my list. I’m a soup & sandwich kind of guy, even just a cup of broth is good.

I’ve made shrimp bisque so I imagine the lobster version is even more delicious. I enjoy almost all soups other than the cold versions like gazpacho. Vichyssoise is great hot. 🙂

Hi, your soup recipes look great. The lentil soup is interesting. You can try adding the turmeric and garlic when you cook the lentils. It gives you a nice aroma and makes you hungry even while cooking! BTW, I’m glad that you liked my post on braised bean curd. Thank you!
Thank you for your ideas.

Will be trying the lobster bisque soon!! My go to soups are chicken noodle, tortilla, and broccoli cheese!, and clam chowder! All comforting and some of my husband’s favorites!
Sounds great!
This post couldn’t come at a better time, since I now have a very well stocked vegetable patch at my fingertips. Not courtesy of my own green fingers sadly. That’s not to say I’m stealing someone else’s cabbage it’s just my mum lives next door and she’s a whiz. Anyway, I look forward to more recipes and ideas. I’m getting the blender out for some soup making experiments as we speak.
Enjoy!
