I like my summer desserts to be refreshing and not very sweet. Since I learnt making panna cotta I started mixing recipes and ingredients for new experiences.
This dessert is a combination of oranges and wild strawberries and is good for 4 servings.
Ingredients:
For the white panna cotta
- 300 ml cream
- 150 ml milk
- 2 sheet of gelatin
- Vanilla extract
- 30 g sugar
For the orange jelly:
- 350 ml orange juice
- 30 g sugar
- 2 sheets of gelatin
Wild strawberry layer
- 1 cup wild strawberries
- 1 banana
Directions:
Panna cotta: Put the gelatin sheets to soften in cold water. Heat in a saucepan over low heat the milk, cream, sugar and vanilla extract until the mixture reaches the boil. Stir regularly. Remove the pan from the heat. Add the well-drained gelatin. Mix until completely melted. Pour the white chocolate panna cotta in glasses and refrigerate for at least three hours.
Orange jelly: Pass the orange juice through the sieve to remove the pulp. Soften the gelatin sheets in cold water. Heat in a saucepan, over low heat, the orange juice with the sugar. Before boiling, remove from heat, add the drained gelatin leaves. Blend until they are completely melted. Allow the orange jelly to warm to room temperature for 30 minutes, stirring regularly.
Remove the glasses from the refrigerator, fill them with the orange jelly. Place the glasses in the fridge for at least three hours.
Wild strawberry layer is very easy to make. Blend the wild strawberries and the banana together. Leave some wild strawberries for decoration.
Add the mix on top of the orange jelly and then decorate with wild strawberries and mint.
Enjoy!
Hmm can I have a taste please

We don’t have anything like the ‘fragi’ here in UK; the taste is quite extraordinary. I doubt I would get them home to make your recipe but mixing them with banana is intriguing.
Lovely! I’ll definitely try it. Unfortunately, I’m rarely able to get the gelatin stuff right… Thanks for sharing!

7 grams for 1 sheet
