Parsley is the world’s most popular herb and one that I have for breakfast almost every morning. I make a juice with parsley, cucumbers and other seeds and I have energy for all day.
Highly nutritious, parsley can be found year round in your local supermarket.
Parsley is a popular culinary and medicinal herb recognized as one of the functional food for its unique antioxidants, and disease preventing properties. This wonderful, fragrant rich biennial herb is native to the Mediterranean region.
Health benefits of Parsley
- Parsley keeps your immune system strong, tones your bones and heals the nervous system, too.

- Parsley is rich in many vitamins, including Vitamin C, B 12, K and A.
- The herb has anti-inflammatory properties so use parsley daily
- Parsley tea relaxes stiff muscles and encourages digestion.
- Studies indicate that parsley—especially its essential oil—may have a role in inhibiting cancerous tumors.
Thanks for the info, I never knew all that about parsley!

Not to mention it adds a lovely layer of flavor to most dishes…..
So true
Super! I love parsley and put it in almost everything!
Love it for digestion! Great write up.
Thank you
I usually only use it as garnish, in potato salad and in boiled potato quarter. I’ll have to add this to my repertoire, thanks!

I use plenty of parsley but not so much for breakfast unless it’s in scrambled eggs!
It is very good in your eggs.
Good information! Did you know that one of the original uses for parsley was as a breath freshener? Although my personal preference would be a sprig of mint!
You can use it after you had something to drink and you don’t want to smell like alcohol.
I love parsley too!!! But have never used it for breakfast!
Try it. You will have a surprise. Put it in your smoothie.
Thanks for the info. Do you know if it’s easy to grow? I grow my own basil and mint.
Very easy to grow. We have in the gardenevery year.
Thanks. I will look into purchasing a plant and give it a try. 🙂
What’s more: it seems to be really easy to grow! Many of the herbs in my planters kind of shriveled from heat, but the parsley always thrives. This post explains why, in a way!
I loved all the info as well. Will be looking for parsley tea. Have not ever heard of it, but it’s something I am looking forward to trying. I have some pains here and there.
Enjoy the tea!
It contains vitamins B1, B2, B5, B6, B9 but unfortunately there is no B12 in parsley 😦
I love parsley! I use a lot in my green juice/smoothies 🙂
Me too
I cook almost everything with parsley 🙂 from meat, sauce to pastas 🙂
Nice. My mom does that too
Great post! I love parsley too and my favorite use has got to be chimichurri 🙂
Thank you
Great post! Parsley is also a diuretic, so cleanses the kidneys, and helps reduce blood pressure that way. Its high cholorphyll content makes is very detoxing, and this propertie is also what helps freshen the breath so much, as it reduces the bacteria in the mouth too! As you can see, I love parsely too! 😉 Kitchen herbs have such great medicinal qualities, so i think its great the more people use them ❤
Thank you for your information

I get very excited when I see the cooking world assisting me promoting healthy food options as well as explanations on the benefits. I DON’T believe we have to eat healthy 100% of the time. I believe a healthy and happy person learns to balance their food choices. Thank you for posting this valuable information.

I had no idea it had so many benefits. I really enjoy parsley and I should add it to more stuff. Never thought about starting my day with it, either.

It’s very easy to grow your own parsley as well. Then it’s available fresh from the yard / terrace. It can also be stored dried and frozen for winter months. It’s one of my favorite foods.
Thank you for checking out my blog. Yours looks amazing and is very informative. Love the “Food Photography Tips” section 🙂
Thank you
I grow a big patch of parsley every summer. This year I’ve noticed copper colored spots on some of the leaves. I’m about to do a google search to find out what they are and whether they are edible (so far I’ve been picking through every bunch I harvest and discarding the spotted leaves,) Just wondering if you happen to know what they are.
Sorry. I don’t know
hi 🙂 how do you do Persley juice? what kind of seeds do you add? I would like to try at home too. thank you!

My favorite is to mash it in some avocado with my eggs in the morning. Glad there is another parsley-for-breakfast person out there! But I’m intrigued by making it a tea! Thanks for the post.
