A few years ago I discovered blue cheese. Thirst I didn’t like it at all , but second time I fell in love with it. So, every time I have a chance I eat blue cheese. And the best one is in France, home land of cheese, trust me.
Today I decided to do a recipe with blue cheese. I found one on the internet and I adapted because I discovered that I didn’t have all the ingredients in the house. In the end, was a really great recipe. This is my adapted recipe. In the future I promise to do the original one. This recipe is for 4 people and will take only 15 minutes to prepare and 13 minutes to bake.
Ingredients:
- 4 medium Comice pears peeled, halved horizontally, seeded/cored
- 100g blue cheese
- 100g Brie cheese
- 100ml liqueur
- 4 figs (half cut in in 4)
- 4 tablespoons grapeseed oil
Directions:
Pre-heat oven to 200 degrees C. In a baking pan, put the pears and the figs on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Drizzle them with grapeseed oil and liqueur. Bake for 10 minutes. Add the cheese cut in small pieces on top of figs and pears. Bake for 3 minutes, till the cheese is getting smooth. Serve it warm as an appetizer. Enjoy!
Nice recipe! I love the combo of blue cheese, pears, and figs. What kind of liqueur did you use? I’d be tempted to try this with either a cognac or even a dark rum (I’d have to think about the rum, though).
i put a wine liqueur from France. I think the dark rum will go great. I love rum.
