I was lucky enough to travel and see some beautiful countries, and, of course, when I was there, I loved to try their food. One of my favorite countries was Mexico. I am in love with mexican food, too spicy for me, but excellent.
Today I am cooking Guacamole. Easy to make, very tasteful and great if you wanna impress people who never tried mexican food before. It takes 10 min to be ready. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 3 avocados, halved, seeded and peeled
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 medium onion, diced
- 1/2 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced (optional)
- 2 Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced
- 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Directions:
In a medium bowl, mash together the avocados, lime juice, and salt. Mix in onion, cilantro, tomatoes, and garlic. Stir in jalapeno pepper. Refrigerate 1 hour for best flavor, or serve immediately.
Who doesn’t like guacamole? Very few people, and your version is particularly nice – I love jalapeno pepper in guac. Lovely picture.
Thank you
Was talking to my sis in Denver about the wonder of the simply-made guacamole. We agreed that people spoil it by adding sour cream or mayonnaise. Your version looks perfect!
Thank you. I never had with sour cream or mayonnaise. In Mexico I had always simple guacamole and was perfect.
Lovely – I just need to find avocados when they are not hard and not over ripe – seems to be a window of about 24 hrs! thanks for the recipe
You are welcome
This looks so good! I’m a huge fan of Guac!
Thank you
