This is the easiest recipe for a spinach dip. It tastes so great that my kid wants it with everything: pasta, potatoes, toast, etc. It is a great appetizer or a side dish for meat, and goes great with pork, chicken or beef.
Ingredients:
- 250 g fresh spinach
- 1 boiled egg
- Salt
- Pepper
- A hand of chopped wild green garlic
Directions:
Boil the spinach for a few minutes and then pour cold water on top to keep the color of the spinach. In a bowl mix the spinach with the egg and wild garlic. Mix it well.
You can add also fresh stinging nettles. You prepare them as you prepare the spinach.
You can serve it cold or hot. Enjoy!
One I will be using. Tops!
What is the purpose of the egg?
Taste, texture and proteins.
Sounds awesome
Thank you.

Fantastic! Two things stand out about this great recipe: You’re getting kids to eat spinach and the stinging nettles option. Brilliant! 😃
Thank you
Just happened to have extra spinach in the fridge I want to use up. Thank you.

Perfect for Meatless Monday! I shared it on my @werehungry2 Twitter page.

I’m thinking there is a way to combine grits, spinach (or some other “greens”) and an egg into a breakfeast.
Of course.

I love food & healthy food besides. Nothing else beats it even when you are trying to mess your body up. You can go back to the good healthy food & your body will then appreciate the natural healthy. Very good!
So true!
Have a bunch of baby spinach didn’t know what to do with it! Now I know thanks!
Enjoy!
Hi, I love the idea of a spinach dip, but I don’t eat eggs. Is there anything plant-based that you could recommend as an alternative? Thanks
You can skip the egg.
This looks yumm.. Will definitely try this one 🙂
Thank you
Thanks for the post. We’ve just had a huge haul of spinach from our veg patch which we made spinach soup from: https://myhomefarm.co.uk/spinach-from-our-veg-patch-to-make-spinach-soup
We love spinach and we have a lot of it growing, so I’m definitely making this this weekend. Thanks for the innovative recipe. Never heard of spinach dip before.
Thank you. Enjoy!
