I know is not Christmas yet, but here is a recipe for ginger bread easy to make and for all seasons. I made it for my little boy and he loved it.
Ingredients:
– 6 eggs
– 300 g brown sugar
– 300 g black wholegrain flour
– 4 tablespoons honey
– 1 glass oil
– 1 knife edge bicarbonate
– juice from 1 lemon
Directions:
Whisk the whites and add the sugar little by little. Add the yolks. In a bowl mix the honey with the bicarbonate, and then add it to the whites. Mix it very slow with the lemon juice , flour and at the end the oil.
Preheat oven at 160 degrees. Put the mix in a pan and leave it in the oven 20 -25 min or till is done. Enjoy!

looks lovely. What is black flour?
Thank you. Black flour is unprocessed white flour. I don’t know the English term. Is more healthy than the white one. Has more nutrients.
aha! Maybe rye flour? thanks.
Gingerbread works for me any time of the year.
Oh how beautiful! I absolutely fell in love with your pictures! I really want to make ginger bread now…. 😉
Is perhaps wholegrain flour what you mean? I use it for a lot of recipes too 🙂
Yeap. thank you. i will make the change
This post makes me wish Christmas was around the corner 🙂
I don’t know why we make this only at Christmas time? It is delicious!
looks good. perfect to go with ice cream. by the way, why do they call it ‘ginger’ bread when there is no ginger powder used in the recipe?
Is there actual ginger in the recipe?
No. This is a very old recipe from my country and they never used ginger, but, the name is really ginger bread.
Looks delicious.
Thank you
