How to Increase Your Blog Traffic

I start blogging in September 2012 and my traffic for 2013 and 2014 was not good at all, as you can see in the image.

I had a few followers and few people saw my posts.  After reading about traffic and visitors I manage to get more people reading my blog with just a few steps. So here is something to help you gain more traffic without paying anything:

  1. Write short posts because people don’t like to get lost in the story. Most of us don’t have time to read thousands of words.
  2. Read every day other people blogs.
  3. Try to answer to all your visitors.
  4. Use links to other posts when is necessary.
  5. Use Facebook, Pinterest and other social sharing sites to promote your posts.
  6. Tell beautiful stories.
  7. Write guest posts for other blogs and have guest posts.
  8. Try to write a post once a week.
  9. Use beautiful photos and have an attractive title.
  10. Create better content and use appropriate tags.

 

 

Most of my time spent on internet is used reading other blogs. I love to read about food, recipes, photography, travelling, sports, health, etc. I appreciate with a like or a comment if I like something in that post: a photo, a story, a presentation, a recipe, etc. But, the most important thing is helping other bloggers. I am so happy when people tell me that I really helped them with a post and they are happy they found my blog.  That means that I manage to help someone.

  2. As for your point 1, I totally agree. That is why in my own blog all my posts do not exceed 130 words; 99% are exactly at 130 words. These days every one has short spans of attention.

  7. I was also trying to figure out if I should write more stories, often one of the show stopper to get the blog out..but as you pointed out short and good content stories with right pictures will do the job…

  49. Getting involed in the wordpress reader community is very important. Took me a long time to understand the mechanics of owning a website and running a blog. I truly love what i do and getting paid thru word ads is only a added plus. I really appreciate post like this, for it serves as a guiding light to newcomers in the blog world. Thank you.

  50. Everyone wish to get high stat. But luck is a subject to everything! Always hard work does not do. Now in 2018 it is more difficult to gain good traffic. Now a days you can buy site traffic with a bad content! Out of site out of mind!
