Today I am gone write about cherry stems because we can all benefits. We all love to eat cherries in the summer and throw away the stalks. You can start collect them. Why? Because of the health benefits:
- They have diuretic properties which promotes proper kidney function and reduce water retention
- They prevent formation of kidney stones and urinary tract infection
- Stimulate the elimination of toxins from the body through urine and stools
- Lowering cholesterol
- Purifying blood
- Reducing edema and bloating
- Anti inflammatory properties
The stems make a great, refreshing tea. I collect the stems and dry them and then I can make the tea all year long.
Now that’s interesting!
Never knew how much of nature’s bounty we have yet to understand. Thank you for the share.
You are welcome

Beautiful photos!
Thank you
Exclusive information with intelligent image!
Thank you
My pleasure!
Cherries are one of my favourite fruits and now I know how good they are for me. I also love acerola cherries which in the Caribbean are just “cherries”. Love the images.
Thank you
Woaaa so cool
Hey, Thanks for sharing… I was not knowing about its health benefits.
You are welcome
I’ve never heard of this! Cool! 🙂
Interesting. What does it taste like? Cherry twigs can have a strong odor that is not necessarily pleasant…
They don’t have a strong taste. It is quite nice
Lovely photography of a very simple subject.
Thank you
You. Are. A. Genius. 🌿🍒

Had no idea! Will give it a try. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

Who knew? That’s the same reason Americans are drinking tart cherry juice. Less expensive, too. 🙂
I never knew that. Thanks for sharing. I was just wondering how long do you steep the cherry stems and how many per pot? Do you add anything else for flavoring (ie other types of tea and what kinds)? Thank you. I definitely want to remember that next time we buy cherries.
I will post my tea recipe.
Thank you
And here I was thinking they were only useful for tying into knots with your tongue. 🙂 Great post, and very useful!
Well, that makes sense! Kinda like cherry bark. They aren’t good for cats though so if your cat likes to steal your cherry stems the way mine does, don’t let them eat any.
Thank you so much for sharing.

Reblogged this on "OUR WORLD".
That’s good info. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you
Great, now I have something to do with cherry stems other than trying to tie them in a knot with my tongue. Grin
I will definitely start saving them.
Interesting!
Very interesting!
Would never have thought of doing that, although I do love to pick mint from the garden to make tea
I would never have dreamed they had any use at all! Amazing.
A caution: all other parts of the cherry tree (not the fruit) contain cyanide. In small amounts you will have all of the side effects listed above but please be careful, too much will cause cyanide poisoning.
Thank you for your information
Something more to learn, thank you
