Skewers for a party

GAB_4796_res_mix

In our family we love to grill the meat, any meat and any time, and of course any vegetables. When you make skewers with different ingredients you have plenty possibilities. Vegetarian or not, they are the best when you have a party or you are feeding a crowd.

My little one loves to make them. Sometime he uses all the vegetables and I am left only with meat to put on my skewers, so we made a plan to share and help each other.

You need always fresh vegetables and quality meat. You can marinate the meat or just use it as it is.

Your vegetables should always compliment the flavors of the meat and should take the same amount to cook.

Ingredients:

  • 1 zucchini
  • 3 big tomatoes
  • 3 big red onions
  • 2 red peppers
  • 1 white eggplant
  • 2 chicken breast
  • 250g pork

Directions:

Cut the vegetables and meat in big pieces. Larger cubes are ideal to keep meats moist while grilling over direct, high heat.

Start arranging the meat and vegetables on the skewer. You can also make one with only vegetables for the vegetarians. You need a very good fire so be prepared. The skewer is built for a direct high or medium-high fire.

You can serve it with a hot sauce if you like it or a light refreshing one. Enjoy!

  1. Hi Gabi! This looks so delicous! My kids love grilled meat but they will pass on the grilled vegetables. They would rather eat them raw. 🙂 I still make the grilled veggies for my husband and I. They are so yummy.

  2. I can nearly taste the food that you’ve presented so beautifully in photos and words. I’m grilling vegetable skewers tonight and hope they live up to the experience described in your post!

  3. This is a great idea for a party or cooking for a large group! It is always hard to find something to cook when people are coming over. Thank-you and happy blogging!
